What do you guys think? Too gold? DIY Louboutins instead?
Sidenote, they also cut into my feet a little, even for the 5 minutes I was wearing them.

I don't think they're too gold.
If they cut in your feet after just 5 minutes, your feet will be killing you by the end of an entire. I say that you shouldn't wear them for that reason!
Well one stike against them wasn't that bad but two? I say a no go. If they are not comfortabel AND cute to you, then don't compromise. It's not like were talking reception site here (not as many to choose from as shoes and sometimes we have to compromise with price, time, date, location to get the perfect fit) but we are taking about shoes! I'm pretty confident that you can find something that is either absolutely adorable OR super comfy (but hopefully, both)
OMG... i hate you! I want those sooooooo bad. FH said to get them but i knew i couldn't have them and not wear them for 14 months... I'm dying with jealous over here! :)

I actually think the color is great and not a problem that's a bit more gold than yellow. However, if they're not working from a comfort standpoint, they are not worth it and it's back to DIY CLs!

But if they hurt your feet, I'd either get a bigger size or find something else! You don't want to be in pain!

They are really very cute but if they hurt after 5 minutes it will only get worse from there : (.
I just stumbled across your blog and thanks for the info about these fabulous shoes. I just ordered a pair in Teal and hope that they fit okay. I am a little worried based on what you said. But I think I am one step closer to finding the right ones.
