make me pretty...

i'm not really a make-up person. i just lack the desire or the time on a day-to-day basis. however, the one thing i will not leave the house with is my mascara. lately i have been using clinique, i'm not sure what the name of it actually is, but its the one with the two ended brush.
i've been thinking about what type of products i should wear on the big day. i haven't yet decided whether or not to have someone do my make-up yet, there aren't very many options where we are getting married and i'm not sure i'd be happy with any of them really, unless i asked someone to drive (a ways) which probably isn't in our budget. which leads me to my quest for the best make-up.

from what i can gather MAC, Bobbi Brown, and Laura Mercier are all favored quite heavily. so i ask this to you -

what should i wear? what are your make-up staples?

I am a laura mercier person - the 20spf tinted moisturizer, the mineral powder, the foundation primer... I dont like heavy make up for a daily basis, so the tinted moisturizer gives you that dewy natural look, that can be matted down a bit with the mineral finishing powder.

I'd go in and try them all out though - i've used mac as well but not so much Bobbi Brown - but have heard great things about all :)

I don't actually wear makeup everyday (though I'm sure I should...), but when I do, it's Bare Minerals all the way.

I SWEAR by this stuff. It's a bit of an investment to begin with (about $60 for the starter kit), but it will last you at least 6 months if not longer.

The "foundation," if you can even call it that, blends so seamlessly...Plus, they also sell eye kits that contain a brush and a few shades of eyeshadow with instructions on how to blend them together...

Oh, and I NEVER leave without clinique moisturizer on!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fresh's Supernova mascara! It's the best!!
I also like Makeup Forever's Mat Velvet foundation. Oooh, and MAC lipsticks - especially the "O" color.

I'm going to do my own makeup. Like you, I don't know that I'd like anyone else's interpretation.
